L'Art En Mouvement
Dans le cadre de Beyrouth Capitale Culturelle 1999, nous organisons une manifestation permettant à des artistes libanais d'exposer leurs oeuvres au dela du cadre habituel des galeries.
Nous considerons que les bus peuvent jouer un role actif dans cette initiative, Vous verrez, les oeuvres des artistes sélectionnés, défiler au rythme de la ville pendant le mois de Juillet 1999.
A travers ce projet, nous voulons atteindre trois objectifs principaux:
- Contribuer à créer un dialogue entre l'artiste et le public.
- Egayer la vie quotidienne du citoyen libanais.
- Faire découvrir la créativité des artistes libanais.
Rim El-Jundi
Née a Beyrouth en 1965.
People ask me why I had two different types of paintings. Well, this is me and this me too. I am very attached to both of them. Pourquoi je fais deux styles differents.parce que c'est moi et c'est moi aussi.
Within the context of Beirut Cultural Capital 1999, we organise an event which allows some artists to exhibit their works beyond galleries traditional setting.
We believe that buses can play a significant part in this initiative. During July 1999, the painting of the selected artists will be parading through the streets of Beirut, in tempo with the city.
The aim of this project is to achieve three main objectives:
- To help creating a dialogue between the artist and the public.
- To enliven the Lebanese daily life.
- To introduce the general public to Lebanese artists creativeness.

Hossam Hatoum
Né a Beyrouth en 1961.
Le travail sur les lignes noires aboutit au tableau le plus radical. Un entrecroisemnent de larges bandes noires dessinées d'un coup de pinceau brutal. Le dessin structure la surface de la toile en un réseau de vides et de pleins que la monochromie accentue.

Black lines lead to a radical work. The drawing structures the surface in a network of emptiness and fullness.
Salah Saouli
Né a Beyrouth en 1962.
Vision : Contemplation interieur dans un mouvement exterieure.
Vision : interior contemplation in an exterior movement.

Aziza Harb
Née à Beyrouth 1964.

Forme identique dont la répétition détermine la composition de l'oeuvre. Ma peinture se géométrise comme pour constituer une sorte de nouvel alphabet.
Identical shape where repetition determines the composition of the work. My painting becomes geometrical to constitute a new alphabet.

A travers l'ouverture de nouveaux espaces pour l'expression de l'art et sa continuité, nous espérons partager ensemble cette expérience actuelle pour une ville en devenir.
